About AAC-Inclusion
Project Overview & Needs
The AAC-Inclusion project addresses the urgent need to support children aged 3-10 with speech and hearing impairments, who often face barriers to participation in education and social activities. The project aims to bridge this gap by equipping educators with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) techniques and providing resources to foster inclusive learning environments.
Work Packages
WP1: Project Management
Ensuring proper budget control, time management, risk handling, online meetings every 2 months, and quarterly evaluation reports.
WP2: Development and Delivery of AAC Resources
Includes Needs Analysis, development of the multilingual AAC Toolkit, and Creation of 6 Virtual Training Modules.
WP3: Training, Capacity-Building, and Piloting
Includes an International Workshop for Training of Educators in North Macedonia, Parent Support Programme, and Pilot Programmes in Schools.
WP4: Dissemination and Sustainability
Includes development of the Multilingual Web Platform, Multiplier Events in Romania, a Final Transnational Meeting in Poland, and eTwinning/Erasmus+ Engagement.
Project Objectives
- Equip 120+ educators across Europe with practical AAC methodologies.
- Empower 200 parents with dedicated home support and webinars.
- Deploy and test innovative AAC tools in 18 primary and specialized schools.
- Provide 100% open educational resources (OER) in 7 languages.
